1:00 – The Temple of Literature “Quoc Tu Giam”

Founded in the 11th century, the Temple of Literature is one of the first universities in Vietnam. The name of this place had pronounced according to Sino-Vietnamese pronunciation. Including “Temple of Literature” – a place to study literature and “Quoc Tu Giam” – a school for the sons of the king’s mandarins. This is the place where former officials and teachers had trained. And it was once considered one of the leading schools in Southeast Asia.

The architecture of the Temple of Literature is very unique, reflecting the traditional architectural styles of Vietnam and China. Here, you can see many stones engraved with the names of students who passed bachelor’s degrees in the Le dynasty. These rocks are placed in a location that matches the practitioner’s name. As well as marking their success in the official exam. In addition, the campus has bas-relief walls with images of success, virtue and respect for knowledge.

Temple of Literature and Temple of Than Nho are two important temples in the Temple of Literature. Temple of Literature was built to honor the great writers of Vietnam. While Than Nho Temple is dedicated to the Confucian god – literary theology and is considered the patronage of students and teachers. 2:20 pm – Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum (Ha Noi Tourism)

Address: 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc street, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi.

Hanoi Fine Arts Museum is one of Vietnam’s leading art museums. This museum houses a diverse collection of works of art from the 11th to the 21st century. Including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and other works of art.
The building of Hanoi Fine Arts Museum is built in the traditional Vietnamese architectural style combined with modern details. It is divided into many galleries with unique works of art. Since then, it is characteristic of the different artistic periods of Vietnam.
Coming here, it is easy to admire the works of famous painters such as Nguyen Gia Tri, Le Pho, Bui Xuan Phai, and many other artists. Besides, the museum also organizes temporary exhibitions with diverse art themes. Above all, the Hanoi Fine Arts Museum is also a place to organize educational activities and art research. Therefore, this is probably one of the tourist attractions in Ha Noi tourism that cannot be ignored.

3:40 pm – Thang Long Imperial Citadel and Flagpole

The Imperial Citadel of Thang Long and the Hanoi Flagpole are two famous attractions in Ha Noi tourism.

First, “The Imperial Citadel of Thang Long” is also known as the Imperial Citadel of Hanoi. This is known as an important historical relic of Vietnam. It was built in the 11th century during the reign of King Ly Thai To. It has thus undergone countless invasions as well as been restored throughout history. Coming here, you can visit palaces, temples, towers, warehouses, and other structures. All of them represent the architecture – culture of Vietnam in the past. Above all, Thang Long Imperial Citadel was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage (2010).

The Hanoi flagpole is one of the symbols of the city. Built-in 1812 during the Nguyen Dynasty. And this used to be the place to hang the unification flag of Vietnam. It is about 33 meters high and decorated with typical motifs of traditional Vietnamese decorative arts. Besides, the area around the Hanoi flagpole is also a favorite destination of tourists. Hanoi Railways is a famous food street in Hanoi tourism. The place has a lot of typical eateries with unique dishes as well as great flavors. Here are 3 dishes to try when coming to Hanoi’s Chinatown:

Stir-fried Pho: this is a very typical dish of Hanoi, made from rice noodles, beef, vegetables, and spices. Stir-fried Pho is delicious, fragrant, and attractive, a favorite dish of many people.
Bun Cha: This dish is also a Hanoi specialty, consisting of grilled meatballs and spring rolls. Served in a bowl of vermicelli, served with raw vegetables and dipping sauce. The sweet, spicy, and sour taste of the dipping sauce, along with the delicious taste of grilled meat and ham. That makes the attraction of this dish.

7:00 am – Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum

Address: Bac Thanh area west of West Lake, Hanoi

The Presidential Mausoleum was built to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh. He laid the foundation for the Vietnamese revolution and was the great leader of the country. The mausoleum was built from 1973 to 1975 using limestone and black stone. It had inspired by traditional Vietnamese architecture mixed with modern design.

Coming here, you can visit the mausoleum building. This is a place to store and display relics & items related to President Ho Chi Minh. Inside the building, countless precious artifacts such as the Black and white clothes of President Ho Chi Minh; Your desk; and documents related to life and career. Besides, Nha Rong – where President Ho Chi Minh started the Hoang Sa – Truong Sa campaign. To protect Vietnam’s sovereignty in the East Sea.

One Pillar Pagoda had built in the 11th century with unique architecture covered by shady trees. The pagoda is also known as Dien Huu Tu. It is one of the classic pagoda architecture of Vietnam.

The Presidential Palace had built during the unification of Vietnam in 1901. This building had used as a residence for the presidents and leaders of the country of Vietnam. Quan Thanh Temple is an old religious temple located in the center of Hanoi. It had built in the early 11th century, including many unique architectural works such as Dinh Gate, Dong Pillar, and Huyen Dai. Address: Lo Duc Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi

Lo Duc local restaurant is a famous restaurant in Hanoi tourism. This place specializes in serving traditional Vietnamese dishes. Especially dishes prepared in Hue style.

Coming to Viet Lo Duc restaurant, you will enjoy delicious dishes such as Banh Khoai; Pancakes; Bun Bo Hue; Rice noodles with meat; Broken rice; Spring roll; Banana flower salad, and many other dishes. 1:30 pm – Hoa Lo Prison Relic (Ha Noi tourism)

19th century. It had intended to detain people who opposed the French colonial regime. After that, it had used for detention. Soldiers fought for Vietnam’s independence during the war.

Hoa Lo Prison has many cells where prisoners have been held, tortured, and executed. Currently, this is considered one of the most important historical sites in Vietnam. Coming here, visiting, and learning about the history of the country.

Within the prison premises, it is possible to tour the cells. Learn about penalties and clinics. Highlights are exhibits on the history and culture of Vietnam during the war. Besides, there are also some artifacts such as MIG-21 aircraft.

Address: No. 1 Trang Tien, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.

Vietnam National Museum of History displays many precious collections. They relate to the history and culture of Vietnam from prehistory to the 21st century. The museum consists of 4 floors. In more than 10 galleries, currently, about 200,000 artifacts and documents are stored.

Dong Son Collection: Displays decorative bronze artifacts and bronze tools of the ancient Vietnamese people.
Han-Nom Collection – Display of literary, scientific, and technical documents written in Sino-Nom script.

5:30 pm – Enjoy water puppetry (Ha Noi tourism)

Water puppetry is considered a typical cultural feature of the Vietnamese capital. This art form originates from Ha Thanh street artists. Appearing more than 100 years ago, it has become a great art. Above all, it has associated with the souls of the people of the capital.
